Role Overview
We're seeking an experienced Sales Development Manager to build and lead our SDR team from the ground up. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for recruiting, training, and mentoring a high-performing team of Sales Development Representatives who will generate qualified leads for our B2B solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the SDR team strategy, structure, and processes
- Recruit, hire, and onboard top sales talent to build a high-performing SDR team
- Create comprehensive training programs covering product knowledge, sales techniques, and objection handling
- Define KPIs and implement performance tracking systems to measure team success
- Collaborate with marketing to refine ideal customer profiles and develop effective lead generation campaigns
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth handoff of qualified opportunities
- Provide regular coaching, feedback, and career development for team members
- Analyze performance data to continuously optimize outreach strategies and conversion rates
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in sales development or lead generation roles
- 2+ years of experience managing SDR teams, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment
- Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of modern sales methodologies and tech stack (CRM, sales engagement platforms)
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Data-driven approach to decision making and performance management
- Experience scaling teams in fast-growing environments
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Desired Skills
- Experience in our industry or with similar B2B products
- History of implementing successful SDR onboarding and training programs
- Knowledge of current best practices in outbound prospecting
- Familiarity with sales enablement tools and technologies
